Where are you located and can I pick up the backgrounds myself?
We are located in Eugene, Or. and yes we can arrange for you to pick up your order direct from us.

 What is the cost of shipping?
The cost of shipping varies piece by piece, the easiest way is to put the item in your shopping basket and click checkout to see what the total shipping will be. We can also break down larger pieces prior to shipping if you like, that cuts down on shipping drastically! 

How do you ship the backgrounds?
We primarly use UPS and Greyhound Express on all of our larger pieces.  Greyhound is by far the fastest and safest way to get you your items.  If you would like a specific carrier to be used we can arrange that also.

What are the backgrounds made of ?
Our rigid foam backgrounds are made of very high density polyurethane industrial foam. Our flexible backgrounds are made of a  revolutionary flexible material.

Can the backgrounds be cut to size?
Yes, they are very easy to cut, trim or shape to any length. All that is needed generally is a utility knife or any hand saw.  

Are the backgrounds safe for my pets?
Yes, they are completely safe for fish, reptiles, amphibians. They are non-toxic & ph neutral, they will not effect your water quality, parameters, or color unlike some concrete and fiberglass products.

Can i use these backgrounds in saltwater applications?
Yes all of our backgrounds are completely safe and have been lab tested in marine water applications.

What is Designs by Nature’s return policy?
Designs by Nature will except the return of any unused item or items for a full refund of the original purchase price within 14 days of delivery. Any custom sized backgrounds are not available for return unless there was an error on our part.
